Poetry Open Mic Night
Join us at The Granville Center for the Arts for our highly anticipated Monthly Poetry Open Mic Night. Get ready to be captivated by an unforgettable evening of spoken word magic, expertly guided by our extraordinary host, the one and only Jared Mutchler.
From 6:00 to 6:30 pm, sign-ups will be open on a first-come, first-served basis for all aspiring poets, and poetry readings will commence at 6:30 pm. Seasoned wordsmiths and beginners are invited to share original compositions or read from the classics.
Drinks and snacks will be provided. All ages are welcome.

GMS Art Show Tours with Miss Dague
Join us for a captivating experience at the Granville Middle School Art Show during this week's special gallery hours. For an added treat, the fantastic art teacher Michelle Dague will conduct guided tours, offering a unique perspective on the stunning works.
This extraordinary exhibit, running from January 6 to 14th, is a dazzling display of imagination and skill from the bright minds of middle schoolers. Witness their artistic journeys unfold in a kaleidoscope of colors and forms.

Art Lovers Book Club: "How Do We Look" by Mary Beard
Embrace the world of art and literature at our upcoming Art Lovers' Book Club! Our next book club gathering is Thursday, January 11, at 6:00 pm. We're delving into "How Do We Look: The Body, the Divine, and the Question of Civilization" by Mary Beard.
Our book club promises a rich exploration and a vibrant exchange of our reflections, all set in the beautiful Granville Center for the Arts community room. Come and enjoy the lively discussion, complete with snacks and refreshments. We encourage you to read the book before our meetup, but it's not required.

Ukulele Club (All Ages and Skill Levels)
The Granville Ukulele Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month where beginners and advanced players unite for a musical extravaganza at the Granville Center for the Arts. Led by the incredible Staci Franks, this club is your ticket to ukulele bliss, regardless of age or skill level.
Leave your worries at the door because the Granville Ukulele Club is all about providing a welcoming and stress-free environment. This gathering is designed to foster connections and celebrate the love of music.
Bring your ukulele and an open mind to soak in the vibrant atmosphere as you share laughs, stories, and musical tips with like-minded ukulele lovers! This club is free, open to the public, and includes complimentary snacks and drinks.

Fiber Arts Club
The Granville Center for the Arts Fiber Arts Club is curated by talented knitter Kai Joaquin (they/them). Whether you're an experienced fiber crafter or a novice looking to explore the world of knitting/crochet, this club is designed just for you. Join us to connect with fellow enthusiasts in a vibrant social setting, regardless of age or skill level.
If you're already a fiber crafter, we encourage you to bring your ongoing projects and supplies. Kai will graciously provide extra needles and yarn for those eager to learn the art of knitting/crochet, guiding you through the fundamentals for beginners and advanced techniques for knitters trying to up their game.
Knitting isn't your cup of tea? Fret not! Our club warmly embraces all mobile fiber art enthusiasts, including those skilled in spinning, needle felting, tatting, macrame, and more.

Button Making Club
Join our exciting monthly Button Making Club! This creative and inclusive club welcomes all ages and artistic skill levels to explore the world of button art. Led by the talented local artist, Cody Maynard, this club promises a delightful experience where you'll learn to craft your very own pinback buttons. Discover the magic of transforming your unique designs or existing images into wearable art! Cody will be there to guide you through the button-making process in a welcoming and social setting.
No need to worry about materials - we've got you covered! All the necessary supplies, including button-making machines and pre-cut templates, will be provided. Alternatively, you can bring your pre-printed art from beloved books and magazines to create personalized buttons that reflect your individual style. We'll have an array of comic books and periodicals available, brimming with dynamic images just waiting to be turned into eye-catching buttons.
Already a button enthusiast? Show off your fantastic collection at the club! We're all about creating and sharing the joy of button-making together.
